The brief here was to maximize the brand Simply Smashing at the very time a driver needs an auto body repairer - and that is at the scene of an accident.
The solution was to make the back page of the flyer ready-made for the exchange of mandatory details. The back page also gives a checklist of things that must be done at a crash scene and other things that are advisable. These flyers were then given to tow-truck drivers to distribute when they arrived at accidents. The truck drivers were not to 'sell' the brand - just to let the flyer do its work.
The result has been the client has received more auto body repair work from this simple flyer, than anything else he's done previously.
The brief was to create an interesting welcome pack for new clients and for clients coming across to Simply Smashing from a recently purchased business.
The solution was a solid black gloss outer skin with a short-cut overlapping portion where the message, through the copy, would unfold to the reader as the welcome pack itself is unfolded. There was a huge amount of design and redesign to get the copy and overlapping correct and properly coordinating with each other.
The result looks impressive yet simple. As with most things that look simple, it was far more complex than it looks.
